So where do you fancy going this year for your camping trip? The West Coast, Ireland, Wales or England? With a Roof Tent, you can set up almost immediately anywhere, anytime. A Roof tent takes up quite a bit of space in your garage or shed so lets take up the space for you.
Of course, to fit a Roof Tent on to your car you will
need roof bars, do you have roof bars, you don't? Well don't worry as we
do. We have over 200 different fittings kits, even if we don't have
stock, we can source for you.
With a zippable, skylight and large windows, you can enjoy
elevated views of your surroundings, the sunset and the stars – wherever you
pitch up. All windows and doors are fitted with anti-bug mesh.
Once installed on your vehicle, it takes just 60 seconds
to open and close. Simply attach the ladder and prop it open with the internal
supporting arms. It pops straight open, with self-opening vents and no
additional poles to set up.
The seams are silicon taped, with industry-leading YKK
zips, while all windows and doors are fitted with anti-bug mesh.
It may be lightweight, but the
Braemar is built to withstand strong winds up to 39mph, with a 3000mm
hydrostatic head rating to keep you cosy and dry whatever the weather.
You can pitch anywhere you can park your car. That
includes car parks, lay-bys, and of course campsites. You’re high off the
ground, so no need to worry if it’s wet and muddy!
The speed of set-up is an absolute luxury and makes the
thought of camping enjoyable. If it’s raining or windy, it’s not a problem, as
you’ll be set up and inside within minutes, ready to enjoy elevated views.
Every vehicle has a dynamic roof load limit, i.e. how
much weight can be put on the roof whilst driving. You can usually find this
online, or in your vehicle manual.
Your roof load limit must be greater than, or equal to
the weight of the Braemar Roof Tent.
Almost all cars have a dynamic roof load limit of 50kgs
or more, so are compatible with the Braemar Roof Tent as a minimum. Lots of
cars are 75kg or higher, so will work with all Braemar Roof Tent.
When a car is stationary (the only time people are
inside), the roof can take 5x the dynamic roof load limit, so can easily handle
the weight of several people too.

Roof Bars are essential when it comes to attaching a Roof Tent on top of a car. There are however hundreds of different variations and fittings required to do this. While we stock many fitments we do not have the full stock, this is why, even if you are considering going on holiday it is well worth looking ahead to see if we stock the bars you require, if they are available, if they are stocked and if not, can the correct parts be ordered in time? There can be variations on fitments, another very good reason to get in touch and there may be the possibility that we require to view your vehicle to be sure that the correct parts will be available and fit. There may be other occasions where we cannot help at all in which case we can recommend an outlet to you that can.

Bars fit all cars don't they?
**If there are indeed parts that will require to be ordered especially for your
vehicle, a down payment of £30 will be required for the correct parts to be
ordered up. This is Non-Refundable unless it is proved that the fitments
are unsuitable for the vehicle listed.
CANCELLATION OF BOOKING
As mentioned, if a Non-Standard part is required and has to be ordered in due
to the part not being stocked, the £30 down payment required to order this part
cannot be refunded unless the part does not fit. If the customer wishes
to cancel the order due to being unable to complete the trip, this £30 down
payment will not be refunded as the part was specially ordered if for them.
If the order is cancelled and the equipment required was stock then there is no
refund required as their was no deposit taken in the first place and would only
be required on the day of hire.
It's also important to note that if you wish to cancel to please let us know as
soon as possible. No cancellation fee is required for cancelling (You
only lose the £30 down payment if equipment was bought
in especially for your hire) and this then free's up the equipment
for other users that may be left disappointed. Please remember
that giving as much notice to a holiday you may no longer be able to go on give
someone else who may be struggling the chance to go instead.
I cannot relay strongly enough to please get in touch and check on
availability on the bars as there has been on occasions where disappointed
customers have left this to the last minute and sadly we have been unable to
supply within the time-scale specified due to a part being required leaving
them disappointed.

FITTING YOUR BRAEMAR ROOF TENT
We will fit the Roof Box/bars for you in Altens, Aberdeen between Monday to
Friday during the daytime as well as the weekend all day prior to an
appointment being arranged first. Aberdeen Roof Box Hire is a Part-Time
concern so if calling during the daytime of the week please leave a message.
Fitting the Roof Tent/Bars is free. Fitting can take between 30 to 60 minutes depending on what is required.
Please note, you will be asked to assist in carrying out the tent to your vehicle once the bars have been fitted. The tent itself weighs 33 Kg so can easily be transferred to your vehicle.
PLEASE NOTE, THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
1) You will need to supply yourself, a sleeping bag, pillow and torch.
2) Please note, the Roof Tent can take winds of up to 39 miles and no more than that. Please do not raise the tent on your roof unless you are sure, where you travel to does not involve winds this high.
3) No pet animals will be allowed in the roof tent to avoid damage.
4) No children are allowed in the Tent box unless they are 14+.
5) No smoking.
6) You will need to assistant placing the roof tent on top of the roof bars or fitted roof bars. The roof tent weighs 33KG so you will have to take one end to lift and place on to the roof bars.

1) Cancellation. There is no charge for cancellation. We would
however request that the Hirer does get in touch as soon as possible to inform
us of a cancellation and more importantly in doing so, give someone else
the chance to use the equipment rather than not saying anything at all.
Please note, if the hire requires a Non-Standard Bar, that being a roof bar
requirement where the fitting fit is not stocked and therefore has to be
ordered in with a £30 down-payment. This will not be refunded unless it is
proven at a trial fit or fitting day that the kit is incorrect for the vehicle
listed.
2) Damage. If the equipment suffers damage, loss or theft of the
roof box. Aberdeen Roof Tent Hire reserves the right to charge the hirer the
full replacement cost of such equipment in the event that it becomes damaged,
lost or stolen during the period of hire, or until it has been returned to
them. The replacement costs are as follows: Roof Tent £100.
Altering Equipment – Aberdeen Roof Tent Hire equipment must not be
altered in any way without the prior consent.
3) Aberdeen Roof Tent Hire does accept that there can be wear and tear
can happen with the equipment, the hirer would not be charged with this, as an
example scratches to the surface.
4) Returning Equipment Late. Where the Hirer does not return the
equipment at the end of the hire period, Aberdeen Roof Box Hire reserves the
right to keep the Hirer’s deposit.
5) When booking for hire, the hirer is requested to submit their name, their home address, their contact telephone number, the box type they wish to hire, state whether roof bars are required or not, the days and times they wish to hire the equipment (The times will be submitted upon the period of the quote).
6) Aberdeen Roof Box Hire accepts no liability for any charges levied by tour operators, airlines, or other organisations, for the carriage of equipment.
7) Deposits.
Aberdeen Roof Box Hire reserves the right to demand a deposit from any hirer at
any time up to and including the Hirer collecting the equipment. The amount of
the deposit is £100. Aberdeen Roof Box Hire reserves the right to refuse to
hire equipment to any client with whom it does not wish to enter into a
contractual relationship. Aberdeen Roof Box Hire reserves the right to cancel a
contract at any time & without notice, whereupon it will refund to the
hirer any monies paid. Following such a refund, no further liability will exist
between the hirer & the Aberdeen Roof Box Hire.
8) Ferry Journey's.
It has come to Aberdeen Roof Box Hire's attention that one Ferry company operating services between the UK and Europe has recently attempted to charge one of our customers who had to cancel for her Skoda Kodiaq 4X4 due one Ferry Company wishing to then charge then an extra £231 pounds extra due to the height added for a roof box. If travelling abroad via ferry, please ensure as the customer that you check that your ferry company is satisfied with the height of your vehicle with a roof box fitted on your roof before booking please.
